Restaurant Engine Pro is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of this policy.

Who We Are

Restaurant Engine Pro ("REP," "we," "us," or "our") is a software-as-a-service platform built for restaurant operators. We provide CRM, marketing automation, reputation management, and related tools to help restaurant businesses grow and retain customers.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Restaurant Engine Pro is the data controller with respect to personal information collected from our clients and their users. When our clients use REP to process their own customers' data, REP acts as a data processor on behalf of those clients.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or interact with our platform, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and business information
  • Billing and payment information (processed securely through our payment providers)
  • Account credentials and profile details
  • Communications you send to our support team
  • Content, data, and materials you upload or create within the platform

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
  • Referring URLs and clickstream data
  • Log data and error reports
  • Cookie and similar tracking technology data (see Section 5)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party sources, such as payment processors, marketing partners, or social media platforms you connect to the platform. We handle such information in accordance with this policy.

2.4 Client Customer Data

Our clients may use REP to collect and manage data about their own restaurant customers (such as contact information, visit history, and review data). This data belongs to our clients and is processed by us solely on their behalf. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights and consents to share this data with us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Security & Compliance To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations
Marketing To send promotional communications about REP, where you have consented or where permitted by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you advertisements from third-party advertisers.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the platform, such as payment processors, email delivery services, cloud hosting providers, and analytics tools. These vendors are contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with this policy.

Business Transfers

If Restaurant Engine Pro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

Legal Requirements

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the platform, understand how users interact with our services, and deliver a personalized experience.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the platform. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals at this time, but we respect your privacy choices as described in this policy.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Upon account termination or cancellation:

  • Your account data will be retained for up to 30 days to allow for data export
  • After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted from our active systems
  • Some information may be retained in backup systems for a limited additional period before permanent deletion
  • We may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing records and legal compliance documentation)

Client customer data processed on behalf of our clients is retained in accordance with our clients' instructions and applicable data processing agreements.

Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

What We Collect and Why

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 for the business purposes described in Section 3. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

  • Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Where applicable, you may limit our use of sensitive personal information

The platform may contain links to third-party websites or offer integrations with third-party tools and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to connect or interact with.

Restaurant Engine Pro is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. Your interactions with third-party integrations are governed solely by the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice within your account dashboard at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
